Ile aux Cerfs Island, known in English as the deer island is an island near the east coast of Mauritius in the Flacq district. This paradise island of Mauritius constitutes of around 100 hectares of land.
Nowadays there are no more deers on the island, but you will find some of the world’s beautiful beaches and as such it is one of the must place to visit and see in Mauritius.
Ile Aux Cerfs is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful lagoon and big selection of activities and facilities. On Ile Aux Cerfs you are sure to have a day of relaxation and fun on one of the picture-postcard beaches, and to enjoy a swim and snorkeling in the lagoon.

Get picked up by a Mauritours Chauffeur who will take you from your accommodation to the docks in Trou d’Eau Douce Village.
From there you will board a boat that will take you from Trou d’Eau Douce to Ile Aux Cerfs. You will be told at what time you need to return to the dock to return back to Trou d’Eau Douce. Due to low tide it is incredibly important to not miss the return boat and risk being stranded on the Island until morning.
Ile Aux Cerfs has some of the nicest beaches in Mauritius, despite its popularity a lot of the island is still wild and can explored during a small walk. Just be sure to return to the meeting point to get your transfer to Ilot Mangenie for lunch!
Head to the dock at the pre-agreed time to catch your return boat transfers, once back in Trou D’eau Douce you will be greeted by the Mauritours Chauffeur who will make sure you get back to your accommodation safe and sound.
