Varangue Sur Morne

The restaurant ‘Varangue Sur Morne” has been established in 1992. It is developed as a Bar/Restaurant with an eco-touristic orientation, over the years it has become famous for its very special view of Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The garden has various carefully labelled endemic plants and leaves a lot to explore including a helipad, a small museum and even a walkway named after Price Edward after his small visit many years ago. 

The restaurant has a lot of character and lovely wooden decor. Its location along the chamarel route makes it the perfect pit-stop to enjoy some lovely Mauritian Cuisine. Depending on your choice you can sit back and enjoy a coffee or an ice cold beer. 

Verangue Sur Morne is our restaurant of choice for a lot of our Tours in this region, the set menu offers a small pasta starter followed by a typical Mauritian chicken/beef curry and finally a Mauritian tapioca pudding with ice cream.
